Liner Notes: Larry Hamilton

Larry Hamilton's love affair with music began at age 5 with the
Mardi Gras beats of the Shriner's band, but it was his ability to sing like Otis Redding
which got him gigs with David Batiste & the Gladiators in 1965 at age 15.
While touring with such luminaries as Curtis Mayfield, Jackie Wilson and Al Green, Larry
developed his songwriting composing hits for Etta James, Irma Thomas and Albert King.
Reminiscing, Larry says, "I lived in the heart of New Orleans, near the train station.
The music was everywhere…"
